Well-known manga author Matsuda Hi was inspired by the events of February 2022, when during the brutal escalation of the Russian-Ukrainian war, the skies over Kyiv were heroically defended by Ukrainian pilots of the 40th Tactical Aviation Brigade. The feat of the Ukrainian aces gave rise to the legend of the Ghost of Kiev, MiG-29 pilot, who, in the first 30 hours of the Russian invasion of Ukraine, won 6 air victories in the sky over the capital: he shot down two Su-35, two Su-25, Su-27 and MiG- 29.
