“Understanding russia. Eyewitness testimony”, Oleksandr Palii

This book is a collection of testimonies of eyewitnesses, representatives of different eras: ambassadors, employees of diplomatic missions, officers, merchants – about the country that is now called russia. 

It is interesting that the russian censorship did not want such evidence. 

Russian translations were sometimes deliberately distorted by the translators, and some notable works, excerpts from which are given here, were never published in russian – after all, Ukrainian too. The book will be useful to military personnel, diplomats, businessmen, as well as everyone who wants (or doesn’t want) to do business with russia.
